Why bring art and mindfulness together?

When your nervous system has a chance to rest and regulate, your body and mind both feel the difference.

Making art with mindful attention gives your feelings somewhere to go. You can notice what comes up, shape it with your hands, and stay with it, without feeling overwhelmed. Art of Mindfulness offers a supportive group where you can build practical skills, process your thoughts, and share your experiences with others walking a similar path.

How each session flows

Every Thursday follows the same gentle rhythm, so you always know what to expect.

1

Seated meditation

Settle in, slow down, and arrive in your body.

2

Art practice

Work hands-on with the week's medium, at your own pace.

3

Journaling

Put words to what surfaced while you created.

4

Group reflection

Share as much or as little as feels right.

5

Grounding

A brief closing exercise to carry calm into your evening.

What you'll create

Over the course you'll explore three materials, each a different way to connect with your inner experience.

Collage

Gather, tear, and arrange images and textures to see what they say about you.

Painting

Let color and brushstroke carry feelings that are hard to name.

Clay

Work with your hands in three dimensions and feel what it's like to slow down.

Final three sessions

Your personal artwork

Choose the medium that speaks to you most and create a piece that's entirely your own.
