Join us for a rejuvenating women’s wellness event at Island Wood on Bainbridge Island! Nestled in the heart of nature, IslandWood is a stunning 250-acre campus featuring lush forests, serene meadows, and miles of trails. It’s the perfect backdrop for a day of relaxation and self-care.
Our event will feature a variety of wellness activities, including yoga, meditation, sound healing, forest walks, art and journaling sessions, vision board creation, and the development of a personalized self-care routine to prevent burnout. You’ll also enjoy delicious, nutritious meals throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

The event is organized by Arilda Surridge, the Owner and Director of Wellness Counseling Inc. Arilda is an author, seasoned therapist, and EMDR Certified specialist with extensive experience working with couples and trauma. She is also a destination retreat leader, trainer, and continuing education provider.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Therapeutic and Wellness Innovation Association, and some proceeds will be used to provide full or partial scholarships for women in need, allowing them to attend the event.
We are thrilled to have Dr. Susan Biali Haas kick off the event with her keynote address on “Manage Stress, Prevent Burnout & Strengthen Your Mental and Physical Health.” Dr. Biali Haas is an award-winning medical doctor, health and wellness expert, and executive coach. She is internationally recognized for her expertise in mental health, burnout prevention, stress management, and resilience. With over two decades of experience, she has helped countless individuals and organizations thrive.

Dream Big Wellness is an Art Therapy Collective composed of nationally registered art therapists, working collaboratively with community partnership to provide holistic, and equitable, wellness to the community through retreats, coaching, group therapy, education, and art therapy. With a special emphasis in care for caregivers and mental health services related to cancer care and medical illness.
