Wellness Counseling Inc. is excited to offer this wonderful destination CE retreat to Peru to mental health providers of all different specialties and backgrounds. This retreat provides you the opportunity to learn about Vicarious Trauma or Treating Couples with EMDR. Additionally, there is an option to also complete 5 hours of EMDRIA Consultation that goes Towards Certification or being an Approved Consultant.
The learning is unique, since there will be many experiential exercises that will promote your self-care as well. During this retreat you will hiking in Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain, Sound Healing, Energy Healing, Daily Yoga, Meditation, and Art Processing. You will certainly go back home GLOWing after attending this program, and have the opportunity to do this in a beautiful destination.

Arilda Surridge is a Certified EMDR Therapist, an EMDRIA Consultant in Training, an
approved Clinical Supervisor, and a Gottman Couples Therapy Level 3 trained therapist. She is also a Gottman Leader in Leading “7 Principles for Making a Marriage Work”. She is specialized working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and couple’s. Additionally she has focused and specialized experience with working with early trauma, complex PTSD, recent and ongoing traumatic stress, treating affairs, and treating other mental health providers.
Amita Ghosh, M.S., M.Ed., LPCC, is a licensed therapist specializing in individual and couples therapy. Originally from India, she helps second-generation Asian clients navigate family relationships. Currently, she focuses on anxiety, stress, trauma, and relationship conflicts. As the owner of Resolve Counseling and Consulting, LLC, since 2010, Amita has extensive experience, including work as an eating disorder therapist and adjunct professor. She is trained in EMDR, Polyvagal Theory, Gottman Method Level 3, MBSR, and is a certified yoga teacher with advanced training in Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy.
Bonnie Walchuk, MA, LMFT, ATR-BC approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and creative. She loves working with people and Ideeply values human experiences, their stories, and the mind-body-emotional connectedness to the self, others, and environment. In therapy sessions, she creates individualized interventions using a combination of art therapy and counseling techniques to meet the specific needs of the client. The experience that guides her work comes from her extensive training in couples therapy medical and oncology art therapy, grief and loss counseling, art psychotherapy, adjustment, international transitions, human development, life-cycle stages, family of origin, and systems perspectives. Bonnie nurtures a philosophy of human kindness and integrity; meeting people where they are at with a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach. She enjoys creating individualized interventions weaving in metaphor, imagery, and artmaking to gently deepen the therapeutic process, and meet the needs of each client. She believes in cultivating a safe place for people to process the difficult thoughts and feelings that arise throughout life. Bonnie values the therapeutic relationship in her practice and emphasizes healthy communication, collaborative problem solving, and exploring internal dialogue to increase understanding, self-awareness, and gain relief.
